About This Position

The Governmental Advocacy Committee is seeking volunteer members who are passionate about advocacy and educating to develop messaging, toolkits, collateral and presentation that support the advocacy column of ASET’s strategic plan.

Time Committment

The committee meets the first Wednesday of each month for an hour. On rare occasion, there may be additional brief meetings throughout the year for special projects.

The Vice Chair supports the Chair and Staff Liaison in leading the group, helping with coordination, communication, and keeping members engaged in achieving ASET’s goals.

About This Position

S&P Committee members develop ASET competencies, job descriptions, evaluation checklists, guidelines, and position statements. They proactively evaluate existing practices and respond to new developments or issues in the profession when guidance is needed.

3 hours per month.
