Neurodiagnostic Awareness & Patient Advocacy Committee Member
The Neurodiagnostic Awareness & Patient Advocacy Committee (NAPA) is seeking volunteer members who are passionate about advocacy for the profession and educating key decision makers in the workplace about the importance of using a Qualified Neurodiagnostic Professional.
NAPA volunteers will collaborate within the committee structure to develop messaging, toolkits, collateral and presentation that support the advocacy column of ASET’s strategic plan. This includes material that will be used to mentor and teach advocates how to educate workplace decisions makers such as hospital administrators, risk managers, and department heads.
The committee meets the second Monday of each month for an hour (6:30 p.m. Central Time). On rare occasion, there may be additional brief meetings throughout the year for special projects.
The volunteer will directly contribute to advocacy messaging and collateral that supports raising awareness of the profession among workplace decision makers and making sure they know the importance of using Qualified Neurodiagnostic Professionals (QNP).
Committee volunteer application should be ASET members with a strong interest in advocacy for the profession. Previous experience with advocacy projects is not required.
Volunteers for this committee will develop advocacy and networking skills that can be used to influence key workplace decision makers on how they can support the profession and hire Qualified Neurodiagnostic Professionals.
