Governmental Advocacy Committee Member
The Governmental Advocacy Committee is seeking volunteer members who are passionate about advocacy and educating key public officials and lawmakers about the importance of using a Qualified Neurodiagnostic Professional.
Governmental Advocacy Committee volunteers will collaborate within the committee structure to develop messaging, toolkits, collateral and presentation that support the advocacy column of ASET’s strategic plan. This includes material that will be used to mentor and teach advocates how to educate lawmakers, as well as the material to educate lawmakers themselves.
The committee meets the first Wednesday of each month for an hour. On rare occasion, there may be additional brief meetings throughout the year for special projects.
The volunteer will directly contribute to advocacy messaging and collateral that supports raising awareness of the profession among lawmakers, regulators, and those who make public policy.
Committee volunteer application should be ASET members with a strong interest in advocacy for the profession. Previous experience with advocacy or legislative projects is not required.
Volunteers for this committee will develop advocacy and networking skills that can be used to influence key lawmakers on how they can support the profession in their home states and at the federal level.
