While ABRET encourages all formal neurodiagnostic training programs to strive for CAAHEP accreditation, programs meeting the required standards can be approved as a Recognized Program from ABRET. Students who complete Recognized Programs will be considered eligible for their respective ABRET credentialing exam without submitting additional education hours.
Medical centers may benefit from sending non-credentials technologists to recognized programs, and centers with a structured and robust training program may qualify as a Recognized Program.
