Used on analog (paper) recordings to draw in the electrode derivations (montage) by the technologist for the reading physician. It could also be used to demonstrate skull deformities for the interpreting physician. The electrode placement utilizes the International 10-20 System for Electrode Placement and Nomenclature, with brain overlay, nose to top. This photo was used in the Grass Instruments instruction booklet on performing the International 10-20 System Measurements and was copied by technologists who had the stamps made locally. Once digital systems came into existence, the stamps became obsolete.
