How do I ensure the best video experience?
Just like any live stream, there are things you can do to ensure optimal viewing experience. Make sure you have a strong internet connection. It also helps to close non-essential tabs in your browser. If you do experience buffering or your video freezes, reload the session page or follow the troubleshooting tips on this page.
Why do I hear an echo?
This is typically when two browsers with the live stream are opened, so it is actually playing twice with a slight offset. Close all browsers and re-open content by clicking on the link once.
Why do I see a black box (no live stream)?
Be sure you are using the latest Google Chrome browser. If this doesn't work, try using a different network (WiFi or internet connection).
Why is the audio coming in stuttered?
This could be due to a slow connection. Try watching with a lower bandwidth using the bandwidth selector at the bottom right of the player.
Why can't I hear the audio?
Make sure the media player and your computer's volume are turned up.
Why can't I hear the speaker when I leave the session room?
Your session experience is designed to be immersive. Just like an in-person session, if you leave the room, you can't hear the speaker. If you navigate to another event page, your session will stop. Simply click back into the session to return to the live stream.
Why am I getting a "Website 404: Page not Found" error message?
The Conference Portal runs best on Google Chrome. If you are using a different web browser, we recommend you switch to Chrome. If you're still experiencing the error, refresh your webpage, clear your cache and cookies, or try going into incognito mode.
Why am I experiencing audio/visual delays?
Check your bandwidth speed to make sure you're not having issues with your connectivity. Logging out and logging back in and disconnecting from the VPN have also been found to help in this instance. If all else fails, sign on to the session from a different device.
Is this session being recorded, and will it be shared later?
For those registered for the Virtual Conference, a link will be sent to access the recordings about 1-2 weeks after the conference. The link will expire after 30 days, but you will be able to watch the lectures on-demand during that time. If you missed a lecture, this is the only way to watch it.
How do I access session handouts?
To access handouts, click on the "Calendar" icon at the top right, where all sessions you added will be listed. Click the session title, and additional info will appear, including a handout if one is available. You must add a session to your calendar first to see the handout.
What are the time zones of the sessions listed on the Conference Portal?
