NCS 205: Technical Aspects Of Facial NCS and Blink Reflex Studies

This course will explain how to perform NCS procedures for blink reflex testing. Presentations are meant to familiarize the NCS technologist with the basic anatomy of facial muscles and innervations from Cranial Nerves V and VII. Information will detail proper electrode placement, appropriate recording parameters as well as normal and abnormal blink reflex responses. Participants will also learn how to recognize and troubleshoot artifacts related to blink reflex testing.
