NCS 202: Lab Set Up, Patient Safety Considerations and Other Important Policies for NCS

This is a basic, introductory course for those entering the field, establishing new labs, or those recently promoted to a supervisory position in an EMG/NCS lab. Topics covered include: recommendations for the physical lab set-up as well as staffing requirements, standards for establishing policies and procedures, competency measures and patient safety related issues such as infection control and considerations for patients with pacemakers in electrodiagnostic (EDX) testing. This course also provides details regarding the CNCT and R. NCS T. credentialing exams and the lab accreditation process.
