NCS 203: Basic Principles of NCS and Instrumentation



This course includes basic information about NCS instrumentation, electrical concepts and the fundamental principles of nerve conduction equipment and recordings. It is designed to equip the neurodiagnostic technologist with the technical skills necessary to understand and perform nerve conduction studies and prepare them for taking NCS board exams. Reading and writing assignments for this course are required for course completion. Required Text (not included with this course purchase): Electromyography and Neuromuscular Disorders by Preston and Shapiro; 2nd or 3rd edition and Johnson’s Practical EMG, 4th Edition by Pease, Lew, and Johnson
