Extended Webinar: Best Practices in Neurodiagnostics by Modality IONM, LTM, EEG

About the presentation:  This extended webinar will focus on best practices for performing EEG, LTM and IONM procedures.  Subject matter experts will present practical application methods for each of these modalities as well as important information about quality, communication & documentation standards, associated risks and safety considerations.  Each topic will be presented in a dedicated 1-hour format and will allow for a question and answer period.  A total of 3 CEUs will be earned with successful completion of topic-related quizzes.
 
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this lecture, attendees should be able to:
1.  Explain the role of professional skill standards for performing EEG, LTM and IONM procedures.
2.  Employ appropriate techniques for data acquisition, communication and documentation to enhance performance and improve interdisciplinary teamwork.
3.  Describe how to utilize core competencies for EEG, LTM and IONM and appropriate assessment methods to measure staff performance.   
 
About the Presenters:
Pat Trudeau R. EEG T., CLTM, FASET  is Clinical Director at RSC Diagnostic Services.  She is an excellent and lively presenter who worked at Marshfield Clinic for many years and is active ASET faculty at conferences and online courses.  Pat is also past ABRET Board member and Secretary/Treasurer. 
Erik Padilla, MBA, R. EEG/EP T., CNIM, CLTM is the Director, Neurodiagnostic Services Clinical Neurophysiology – Epilepsy Center – Sleep Medicine Center Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Past-President of ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation.  Erik graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in Management and MBA in Healthcare Management.
James Watt, CNIM, R.EP.T is Chief Operating Officer at Advanced Monitoring Services in Springdale Arkansas.  James has been an active member of the neurodiagnostics community for more than twenty-two years.  Throughout his career, he has been fortunate to gain significant knowledge and experience in clinical electroencephalography (EEG), clinical evoked potentials (EP) and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM).  His primary training is in IONM and he is passionate about advancing the field through sharing his knowledge and skills with others.  He has been working as a neurodiagnostics educator for over 20 years and has significant experience training IONM technologists and coaching them through their board examinations.  He has served on many boards within the neurodiagnostics community and is currently a board member for the Southern Chapter of ASET (SSET).
