NCS 206: NCS For Entrapments And Trauma To The Peripheral Nervous System

This course is meant to develop skills for using NCS to evaluate nerve entrapments and traumatic injuries to peripheral nerves. A review of the upper extremity NCS procedures is included with evaluation of median, ulnar and radial nerves and distal proximal neuropathies and other trauma. Also included is a review of the brachial and lumbar plexuxes and detailed descriptions of distal and proximal neuropathies and injuries in the lower extremities. Challenging case studies will be presented to develop discriminatory skills of the technologist and correlate clinical findings with abnormal findings and asymmetries.
