Therefore, it is ASET's position that 24/7 staffing models be utilized to support patient and employee safety and patient outcome in Level III and IV epilepsy monitoring units (EMUs); Level I and II neurocritical care units; and Level III and IV neonatal ICUs (NICUs).
While ABRET encourages all formal neurodiagnostic training programs to strive for CAAHEP accreditation, programs meeting the required standards can be approved as a Recognized Program from ABRET. Students who complete Recognized Programs will be considered eligible for their respective ABRET credentialing exam without submitting additional education hours.
