The Neurodiagnostic Journal and Online Journal Quizzes

The Neurodiagnostic Journal
The Neurodiagnostic Journal is issued quarterly and has been in continuous publication since 1961. It is an educational resource for Neurodiagnostic professionals, a vehicle for introducing new techniques, the latest research, innovative technologies, and an avenue for sharing best practices within the Neurodiagnostic. ASET members receive the quarterly print publication and online access to the current and archived journal issues on a complimentary basis as part of their annual membership dues. Non ASET members can subscribe to the journal through Taylor & Francis.

Access to Journal Articles Online: Printed journal issues are mailed via USPS to members each quarter. Members can also freely view journal articles online by following these steps (for non-member access, see note below):
- Access via the ASET website: You can access journal articles from www.aset.org by clicking on “Education” and then “The Neurodiagnostic Journal”.
- Navigating the Online Journal: Once redirected to the journal’s website, use the “Browse all articles & issues” dropdown menu located under the “Explore” header to find the journal volume and issue of interest. Articles are viewable as an EPUB or downloadable in Adobe pdf format.

How to Access Online Journal Quizzes

NOTE: You must log out of your ASET account and log back in to trigger your enrollment in any newly purchased journal quiz before it will be loaded into your learning account.

Step 1: Go to https://www.aset.org/my-courses/ or visit https://www.aset.org, click on “Education” and “My Courses”.

Step 2: Scroll down then Log on to the New LMS by entering:

Email/Username: Enter the email address associated with your ASET account.

Password: You will be prompted to change your password if this is your first log on.

Step 3: Click “Access Courses” and then “Go to course” or click on the journal quiz title to access the one you wish to open.

*Only quizzes from the most recent 3 years (on a rolling calendar) are eligible to complete and earn CEU credit. Members can earn up to 24 free CEUs within that designated time frame and ABRET will accept 50% of the total number needed CEUs for recredentialing from journal quizzes.

Dean’s Outreach Program

The Formal Education Task Force has created a packet designed to help promote the development of new Neurodiagnostic Technology educational programs. The packet consists of cover letters addressed to the Dean of an Associate’s degree program and one for a more advanced degree program. The packet also includes a document that provides statistics and information to support the position that more programs must be started to meet the anticipated workforce demand. We encourage ASET members use this packet to bring the Neurodiagnostic profession to the attention of a dean at your local community college or university.

ASET is committed to help resolve the nationwide shortage of qualified neurodiagnostic technologists (NDTs). We strongly support enrollment in accredited online NDT programs, as well as local traditional programs. Both types of programs satisfy ABRET’s registration exam eligibility requirements under Pathway I and both demonstrate highly successful board pass rates.
