ASET is seeking an Editor-in-Chief (EiC) for the Neurodiagnostic Journal to provide strategic direction, lead the Editorial Board, and ensure the journal is responsive to issues and trends influencing the field of neurodiagnostics.
The EiC will be well-supported in their role by the Managing Editor and the publisher’s editorial and production staff. The estimated time commitment is 8 hours per month. The EiC will receive a small annual stipend to cover editorial and administrative expenses and will receive a waiver of registration fees for the ASET Annual Conference and ASET seminars. No other compensation will be provided.
The ideal candidate is a published author with an advanced degree, institutional affiliation, peer review experience, and an understanding of publication ethics who has contributed to original research in neurodiagnostics or clinical neurophysiology.
Applicants agree to the following conditions of appointment:
- The Editor-in-Chief is appointed for a two-year term, which may be renewed indefinitely if the appointment remains mutually agreeable.
- The Editor-in-Chief will not hold simultaneous appointments on the editorial boards of competing journals.
- The Editor-in-Chief attests that they have no major conflicts of interest with the potential to interfere with editorial decisions or performance.
