- Why do you want to serve as a trustee?
I want to contribute to my society and community by volunteering for this position. I want to pay back those technologists who supported me in the field and help the future of ASET and future technolgists
- How would you define your role as trustee in the context of the current Board job descriptions?
To provide unbiased information and consideration in ASET affairs. To promote the well-being of the society and members.
- What are the unique skills you possess that would benefit you in your tenure as a BOT member? How did you develop those skills?
Integrity, communication, and levity. These skills are essential in my daily position as supervisor.
- What qualities do you feel are important for a BOT member to possess? What experiences have helped you to develop these qualities?
Good listening skills, honesty, emotional intelligence. Starting as a technologist and working up to Neurophysiology Department Supervisor at a level 4 epilepsy center for both pediatric and adult as well as Intraoperative monitoring has developed these skills.
- ASET is actively working to promote increased membership benefits, advocacy, and offer multiple educational opportunities. What other important STRATEGIC goals would you have for ASET if elected?
I have noticed and appreciate the increased educational opportunities for ASET members and am encouraged in the way that is helps members maintain required credits for recertification(s). As technologists are in high demand, a strategic goal for ASET not listed above would be increasing visibility for our profession. Increased membership benefits and advocacy will help attract more technologists to our society
