1. Why do you want to serve as a trustee?

   Being a Trustee gives you the opportunity and also the responsibility to be an integral part of the different facets of ASET to further the neurodiagnostic profession, to truly make a positive impact. It gives you a chance to be involved at the core, to be a voice for its members and a chance to bring new ideas, new ventures and opportunities to highlight the neurodiagnostic profession and elevate its importance.

2. How would you define your role as trustee in the context of the current Board job descriptions?

   I believe our role is to monitor, guide and enable good management through feedback, advice, resources in various matters that would enable the management to fulfill their significant job duties. We should be able to offer good insight to utilize resources effectively while minimizing risk to enhance educational and professional opportunities for our members. Our insight is required in proposing, discussing, and approving strategic goals, representing and assessing the needs of membership, monitoring progress toward and achievement of short- and long-term goals.

3. What are the unique skills you possess that would benefit you in your tenure as a BOT member? How did you develop those skills?

   I am a very quick learner, can understand new concepts and apply them to new situations. this helps keep up with the rapidly changing field. I am detail oriented so paying attention to details helps produce work of the highest quality. Being proactive, open communication, seeking team input in addition to academic, technical and business skills are what I believe will benefit me as a BOT member. I have developed these skills through a combination of education and experience, over the years working in the field in various technical, teaching and leadership positions.

4. What qualities do you feel are important for a BOT member to possess? What experiences have helped you to develop these qualities?

   Willingness to learn and participate, team player, Open communication, courage to ask questions, gain new knowledge, attention to detail. Being responsible for daily operations, creating and delivering speaker presentations, managing different teams with different mindsets and needs, are some of experiences where I have been able to develop and use these qualities.

5. ASET is actively working to promote increased membership benefits, advocacy, and offer multiple educational opportunities. What other important STRATEGIC goals would you have for ASET if elected?

   Work towards licensure for neurodiagnostic professionals. Create a true career path by providing more accredited education programs- toolkit or guidance to help interested members get in touch with the heads of academic institutions. Increase opportunities for research and collaboration across the field, not limited to organizations or companies.
