I seeking to serve as a trustee to contribute meaningfully to the strategic direction, governance, and long-term sustainability of the neurodiagnostic profession. Throughout my career, I have benefited from strong professional organizations that set standards, support education, and advocate for technologists. Serving on the Board of Trustees is a way for me to give back at a higher level and help shape policies and initiatives that directly impact patient safety, workforce development, and professional growth.

Having advanced from frontline clinical practice into supervisory leadership, I understand both the immediate challenges faced by technologists and the broader structural decisions that influence workforce development, certification, and educational access. I am motivated to ensure that board decisions remain closely connected to real-world clinical practice, emerging technologies, and the evolving needs of the profession. My goal as a trustee would be to contribute thoughtful, mission-driven leadership that supports sustainable growth, inclusivity, and evidence-based advancement of neurodiagnostics.

I bring a rare combination of clinical expertise, operational leadership, academic research experience, and international collaboration. My skills in strategic planning, budgeting, quality improvement, and workforce development were shaped through progressive leadership roles overseeing complex neurodiagnostic operations, staff education programs, and capital planning in a high-acuity medical center.

Additionally, my PhD training and active research portfolio have strengthened my ability to critically evaluate data, assess outcomes, and translate evidence into practice—skills essential for informed board governance. Committee service, curriculum development, and global educational initiatives have refined my communication, consensus-building, and cross-cultural leadership abilities.

Equally important is my systems-level perspective: understanding how governance decisions cascade to bedside practice, certification standards, and patient outcomes. This integrated skill set allows me to contribute thoughtfully to policy development, strategic initiatives, and long-term organizational planning.

Key qualities for an effective BOT member include integrity, accountability, strategic vision, and a strong sense of service. Trustees must act in the best interest of the organization, remain mission-focused, and be willing to make decisions that balance short-term needs with long-term sustainability.

These qualities were developed through leadership positions that required regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and ethical decision-making, as well as through academic research that reinforced objectivity, discipline, and long-term thinking. Volunteer service and committee involvement further strengthened my commitment to collaboration, transparency, and stewardship. Collectively, these experiences have prepared me to contribute responsibly and constructively as a BOT member.
