- Why do you want to serve as a trustee?
I consider it a privilege to serve as an ASET Trustee. I believe in advocating for and educating our members in our profession.
I love this industry and truly believe I can contribute to making it even better. Having a voice in shaping the future of ASET and neurodiagnostics is a great opportunity.
- What are the unique skills you possess that would benefit you in your tenure as a BOT member? How did you develop those skills?
I bring leadership, teamwork, and a deep understanding of ASET's mission from my extensive career in Neurodiagnostics, progressing from a student to technologist, to supervisor, to manager, to director, and ultimately to an independent consultant in our industry. This experience has given me insight into all aspects of neurodiagnostics, including but not limited to: EEG, CLTM, IONM, cEEG, NCS, EP, and PSG.
- What qualities do you feel are important for a BOT member to possess? What experiences have helped you to develop these qualities?
Collaboration, integrity, respect, and active listening are essential qualities that every board member should possess. Having worked many years in leadership roles at Children’s Hospital New Orleans, and my years of volunteering on ASET committees, task forces, and serving as a Trustee and Secretary-Treasurer, have made me well prepared to help lead the society.
