ASET Statement on COVID-19

ASET Update on COVID-19
March 12, 2020

At this point in time everyone has heard of COVID-19 and is aware of its global impact on how business is conducted, healthcare is delivered, and, ultimately, the way we go about our lives. ASET encourages you to follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organizations (WHO) recommendations to protect yourself and your patients. As a Neurodiagnostic professional, you are keenly aware that handwashing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of infection. We cannot stress enough the vital importance of good hand hygiene during these times of uncertainty.

Unfortunately, as a result of COVID-19, ASET has canceled the Spring Seminar planned for April in Jacksonville. However, we are full steam ahead with plans for the Annual Conference in San Diego August 20–22. We will continue to monitor this fluid situation and provide updates as needed. In the meantime, we encourage you to consider booking your flights now to San Diego. Many airlines are offering lower prices but also reducing restrictions and fees on flight changes. Be sure to read the fine print or purchase flight insurance to protect yourself.

Additionally, we have received inquiries from technologists who have a pressing need for CEUs for board prep and recertification. As always, ASET has you covered! We offer full courses online, webinars and journal articles so you can continue to get the education you need no matter where you are. Visit www.www.aset.org to view all of our educational offerings.
We will continue to be proactive and use our best judgment in making decisions that may impact you, our members (COVID-19 Info for Healthcare Professionals and COVID-19 FAQs and COVID-19 Healthcare Planning Checklist). We hope that common sense and good hand hygiene will prevail!
