Julie “Brain Lady” Anderson
Julie Anderson, aka the “Brain Lady,” is one of the nation’s top experts on the Brain Personality Connection and creator of the most comprehensive personality assessing tool on the market today—the Brain Personality Assessment. She is a highly sought after international professional speaker; corporate keynote; business/communication/relationship consultant; and international bestselling author. For over two decades she has been using neuroscience and neuropsychology to ignite corporate leaders, teams, and individuals. Being a Teacher: Teaching as an Engine for Growing Reliable Teams
Dr. Cornelia Drees
This session highlights how strong teams and effective teaching are interconnected in neurodiagnostics, emphasizing that every technologist can contribute to someone else’s learning journey. Attendees will explore team dynamics, practical teaching strategies, and educational pathways toward becoming a registered, knowledgeable technologist. It also underscores how intentional teaching strengthens team development and encourages a culture where learning, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing are part of everyday practice.
Dr. Cornelia Drees trained in Germany and the United States and has been a member of the Mayo Clinic Arizona staff since January 2021. Prior to this appointment she was director of epilepsy surgery and associate chief of the epilepsy division at the University of Colorado in Denver, and director of intraoperative monitoring at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Currently, she serves as consultant in the Department of Neurology, Epilepsy Division, as director of the epilepsy fellowship program and as director of intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring.

The neurodiagnostic field is rapidly evolving, with increasing demand across critical care, epilepsy, advanced monitoring, and emerging technologies. This session explores current workforce challenges and emphasizes the importance of strengthening education, promoting credentials, and developing clear career pathways to support high-quality patient care and sustainable growth. It also highlights the role of advocacy and professional identity in elevating recognition of neurodiagnostic technologists, encouraging attendees to take an active role in shaping the future of the profession through recruitment, advocacy, and pride in their work.
Magdalena Warzecha is a neurodiagnostic leader with more than 20 years of experience in EEG, epilepsy care, and the expansion of ambulatory EEG and remote cEEG services. She is actively engaged in professional organizations, including ASET, ABRET, ACNS, and ISET. She currently serves as Chair of ASET’s Standards and Practices Committee, President-Elect of ABRET, and Chair of the Neurodiagnostic Workforce Development Task Force. A frequent speaker and session director at professional conferences, she is committed to advancing neurodiagnostic education, strengthening the profession, and improving patient care.
