Understanding the dynamics within the profession are critical components to solving problems and identifying solutions. Appropriate research and data are key to this fundamental exercise of assessing where we go and how we move forward as a profession. As of June 2007, ASET is working with the Bureau of Labor Statistics to develop appropriate job descriptions for the profession, analyze where END technologists are employed and then collect important demographics/data.
